How to: Activate SmartQuotes in PowerPoint document.
Solution:
Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options...', and select the 'Replace Straight Quotes with Smart Quotes' check box.
1) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options...'. (The Options dialog box appears.)
2) Click the 'Edit' tab.
3) Do one of the following:
a) To turn Smart Quotes ON, select the 'Replace Straight Quotes with Smart Quotes' check box.
b) To turn Smart Quotes OFF, clear the 'Replace Straight Quotes with Smart Quotes' check box.
4) Click 'OK'.
NOTE: This option applies to both single and double quotes.
